How is Navdora different from Google, Reddit, TripAdvisor, or AI?
Google, Reddit, review sites, and AI can provide a great deal of information—but they cannot physically go to a location and see what is happening there now.
Navdora arranges for a verified local resident to investigate a specific location and provide current, personalized information based on what they observe firsthand.
Who investigates my request?
A verified local resident who lives in or near the location you're asking about.
Local residents are independent participants who choose which requests they are willing to complete.
Do I pay before submitting my request?
No. Posting a request is free.
You'll only be invited to pay if a verified local resident successfully completes your request and a response has been prepared for you.
If no one completes your request, you don't pay.
How quickly will my request be completed?
Many requests can be completed within a day or two, although timing depends on the destination, the availability of a verified local resident, and what your request requires.
If your request cannot be completed within the applicable timeframe, you will not be required to pay for an incomplete investigation.
Why isn't this free?
A Navdora investigation involves someone's time and, when required, their travel to the location.
A verified local resident may visit a specific property, neighbourhood, route, business, attraction, or other location, capture current photos or video, and prepare a detailed written response addressing the questions you asked.
You're paying for current, location-specific investigation—not general information that can already be found online.
Can I ask about smaller towns and villages?
Yes.
Requests can be submitted for destinations anywhere in the world. If we don't already have a verified local resident in or near the location, we'll work to find one.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Anything that benefits you from someone actually being there.
For example:
- What does this hotel actually look like today?
- Is this neighbourhood quiet at night?
- Is there construction nearby?
- How steep is the walk from the train station?
- Does this beach or marina look well maintained?
- What's the atmosphere really like?
- Is this location suitable for my particular needs?
- Has anything changed recently that I should know about?
Can I request photos or video?
Yes. You can ask for current photos or video when they would help answer your questions.
Your request should explain what you would like investigated and what you would like the local resident to capture.
Can I ask someone to investigate something very specific?
Absolutely.
That's one of the main reasons Navdora exists. The more specific your questions are, the more useful the resulting investigation can be.
You might ask about a particular building, street, walking route, neighbourhood, hotel entrance, beach, business, construction site, or anything else that matters to you.
What will I receive?
A completed investigation includes a detailed written response addressing your questions, together with current photos and/or video when requested and appropriate.
The information reflects what the verified local resident was able to observe at the time of the investigation. Conditions can change after the investigation is completed.
Is the information guaranteed to be accurate?
Navdora requires verified local residents to provide honest, good-faith observations based on what they actually observe.
However, an investigation represents conditions at a particular point in time and is not a guarantee of future conditions, professional inspection, or specialized advice.
Do I communicate directly with the local resident?
No.
Navdora manages the process. Your request, the investigation, payment, and delivery of the completed response are handled through Navdora.
What if there is no verified local resident near my destination?
You can still submit your request.
If we don't already have a verified local resident nearby, we'll determine whether we can find someone suitable to complete it. If the request cannot be completed, you will not be required to pay.
