Frequently Asked Questions

How is Navdora different from Google, Reddit, or TripAdvisor?

Google, Reddit, and review sites rely on existing information that may be months or years old. Navdora connects you with a verified local resident who can visit a location and provide current, personalized insight based on what they observe today.

Who answers my request?

A verified local resident who lives in or near your destination and chooses to complete your request.

Do I pay before submitting my request?

No. Posting a request is free.

You'll only be invited to pay after a verified local resident has completed your request and your response is ready to unlock.

How quickly will my request be completed?

Many requests are completed within a day or two. Some may take longer depending on the destination and the nature of the request.

Why isn't this free?

Completing requests takes time. Verified local residents often travel to locations, take current photos or videos, and prepare thoughtful written responses based on what they personally observe.

Can I ask about smaller towns and villages?

Yes. Requests can be submitted for destinations anywhere in the world. If we don't already have a verified local resident nearby, we'll work to find one.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Anything that benefits from current, on-the-ground verification. For example:

  • What does this hotel actually look like today?
  • Is this neighbourhood quiet at night?
  • Is there construction nearby?
  • How steep is the walk from the train station?
  • Does this beach or marina look well maintained?
  • What's the atmosphere really like?
